Helder Deploige is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, theatre maker and performer from Ghent, Belgium. He has worked internationally with renowned theatre companies such as NIE (GB/CZ/NO), Kopergietery (BE) and Riksteatern (SE), while also performing with some of Belgium’s finest bands. He has produced music for a range of artists, often performing, recording, arranging and mixing most of the instruments himself.

In 2012, Helder set out on a northern odyssey from Belgium to Norway, where he built a family and toured the world with an international music theatre company. Over more than a decade, he wrote and recorded musical road journals in cabins, hotels and houses along the Norwegian fjords, with spontaneous contributions from his compagnons de route. On a late midsummer day he returned home and gathered ten songs about longing and loss, the sea and the seasons, leaving and returning — forming an intimate and honest journey homeward.

Released on his one-man-label Jarko, Take Me Home is Helder's fifth solo album. The album is available on streaming platforms and on limited edition vinyl through Bandcamp, at concerts or via helder@heldersite.com.
